The Aerpro CBHD6B 6dBi 477MHz Super Heavy Duty Black Radome UHF Antenna is compatible with all brands of 477MHz UHF CB Radios in Australia and New Zealand. With 6dBi gain, this medium gain antenna is a great all round performing antenna. The elliptical radiation pattern is more rounded compared to a high gain antenna and radiates further compared to a low gain antenna, making it ideal for medium range communication in various environments such as suburban landscapes, towns and low density woodlands. The 1075mm length antenna is encased in a high quality fibreglass tube and secured to a super heavy duty black coated stainless steel spring. Due to its heavy duty design and weight, the CBHD6B is recommended to be installed on the bullbar of the vehicle, making it suitable for trucks and 4WDs. The antenna is ground independent so it will maintain a stable radiation pattern. The elevated feed design helps raise the radiation pattern above the vehicle roof and other obstructions to ensure high performance when mounted on a bullbar. It is fitted with 4.5 metre RG58 coaxial cable which is pre-terminated with an FME connector making it easy to install through the firewall grommet in vehicles. An FME to UHF PL259 screw on adaptor is also included as well as a mounting spanner for hassle-free installation. Built sturdy for the Australian outback, the CBHD6B is a good all-purpose town and country antenna.
