ECU sensors provide the data required for the engine management system to operate correctly. This category includes MAP sensors, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, flex fuel sensors and other inputs used to monitor engine conditions in real time.

The problem they solve is inaccurate or insufficient engine data. As performance increases, factory sensors often reach their limits or are no longer suitable for the operating range of the engine. This results in unreliable readings, poor tuning accuracy and increased risk to the engine.

Upgrading sensors ensures the ECU receives accurate information across the full operating range, allowing precise control of fuel delivery, ignition timing and boost. This is particularly important on turbocharged, high horsepower and E85 setups.

ECU sensors are commonly upgraded as part of engine modifications or ECU installations, and they play a critical role in both performance and engine safety.
