The Fuel Manager system adds that extra level of protection via extra filter elements that are plumbed into the fuel system as part of a complete DIY kit installed either before the standard fuel filter (known was a pre-filter, using a 30 micron filter) and/or after the standard fuel filter (known as a secondary or final filter, using a 5 or even 2 micron filter!).
