The core to the SP SX Drive program are the new and improved SX Core microprocessors that offer the ultimate charger to battery to tool interface to improve outright performance. SP Tools have embedded microprocessors in all three components to give users longer run times, charge and discharge protection, intelligent current flow and temperature protection. With SP SX Drive using SX Core technology SP Tools can offer more work time, more power, more recharges and ultimately better performing tools.

Next Generation Battery System

The new and improved SX Drive power tool program has been redeveloped to offer even greater power and performance to automotive, industrial and trade applications. The SP SX Drive cordless range is powered by next-gen INR chemistry battery cells. The INR chemistry combines the safety and low resistance of Manganese and the high energy capacity of Nickel. When SP Tools combine these cells with SP Tools 3rd generation SX battery management system, the result is world leading battery performance and power.
