GMF4x4 compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR)

Background:

In Australia vehicles imported must meet the Australian Design Rules (ADR) to be allowed entry into the country and use on the roads. If a vehicle is modified after its compliance (with ANY aftermarket product), then it still needs to conform to the relevant ADR’s and the state specific requirements the vehicle is registered within.

The ADRs typically relate to the overall vehicle and after-market accessories that have been developed and fitted in the vehicle. The ADRs have specific requirements for occupant protection, and structures. GMF 4x4 design the phone holder to be securely mounted to the vehicle and not hinder the airbag system in the event of being activated from a collision. the brackets are designed specifically for each vehicle and cannot be transferred to another type of vehicle.
