Description
EVC Throttle Controllers Deliver the Perfect Throttle Response
Eliminate acceleration delays with the EVC throttle response controller. This system is available for most makes and models made in the last 10-15 years. The EVC throttle controller provides new points of reference for your vehicle’s throttle mapping, modifying the voltage signal to allow a tuned response from the accelerator pedal. By bringing in the throttle earlier in the pedal stroke, throttle response and acceleration improves and sharpens and the “dead zone” disappears. Remember the days when a new throttle cable would fix your acceleration problems? With modern vehicles, the ECU dictates throttle opening and performance. The redundancy and complex nature of the ECU results in noticeable acceleration delays. If you’d like to regain control over the throttle response of your vehicle, it’s time for EVC.
Installation can take as little as five minutes. EVC is compatible with both automatic and manual transmissions. EVC throttle controllers do not impact fuel mapping, air to fuel ratios, or injection timing. EVC is customised for each vehicle make and model, be sure to select the unit designed for your specific vehicle. Find out if it’s compatible for your vehicle by selecting your brand on the Automotive Superstore EVC Throttle Controller page.

What Makes EVC a Superior Throttle Controller?
EVC provides the smoothest aftermarket control module on the market. First, the EVC plugs directly into your pedal command module, making installation possible in as little as 5 minutes.
How It Works
EVC modifies the voltage signal from the drive-by-wire pedal assembly and allows the driver to tune the response from the accelerator pedal, reducing the “dead zone” and throttle lag. EVC offers a total of four driving modes and twenty adjustable settings, delivering the perfect throttle response for your driving style and situation.
Economy Mode
Perfectly suited for off-road and low-traction driving situations, Economy Mode dampens your throttle response past factory levels. When more controlled power application to the wheels is required (i.e towing situations), Economy Mode is especially handy.
Ultimate Mode
Ultimate Mode offers 10 sensitivity levels with level 1 offering the smoothest acceleration and level 9 delivers “beast mode” - check that seatbelt! Levels are grouped into driving situations:
- Everyday Driving: Ultimate Mode 1-3
- Sport & City Driving: Ultimate mode 4-6 offers short bursts of acceleration that are suitable for sharing the road with others
- Towing & Showing Off: Double check those seat belts and get ready for instant, powerful throttle response
AC Mode
EVC is the first electronic throttle controller to include AC, automatic control modes, to suit city conditions and provide a set-it-and-forget-it mode.
EVC Throttle Controller Installation
- Turn ignition off, remove keys
- Unplug your original connector from accelerator pedal assembly
- Plug EVC connector into the accelerator pedal. Do not to force into position; it should fit easily. If it’s difficult, check to make sure you got the right part for your vehicle’s make and model.
- If the accelerator pedal makes access to the plug difficult, you may remove the accelerator pedal from the firewall, but it is not required.
- Connect the vehicle’s factory connector into the EVC plug.
- Securely the EVC cables (provided) in a position that will not affect the operation of the pedals/steering mechanicals.
Mount the control module on the dash in an easy-access position that is easy to access. Double check at night and reposition if necessary.
