By keeping incoming air and fuel cooler, the intake charge becomes denser, which can contribute to better combustion efficiency and stronger performance.

Often described as an intercooler for the intake manifold, this I-M Shield offers a simple yet effective way to protect the underside of your manifold from engine bay heat. It features a heavy duty adhesive backing that bonds to clean, semi smooth surfaces, making installation straightforward for enthusiasts and workshop users alike. The shield is supplied for use with the LS7 stock manifold and is ideal for street, track, or performance applications where managing inlet temperature matters.

Installation is easy when the surface is properly prepared. Simply degrease the manifold, clean it with pre paint cleaner or isopropyl alcohol, allow it to dry, then press the shield firmly into place on the underside of the intake manifold. Edging tape is provided to help complete the installation and deliver a neat finish.
