Important Installation and Product Information
Installation requirements
This is not a DIY product. Do not attempt to install, connect, modify, repair, or commission this EV wall charger yourself.
By law this charger must be installed and commissioned by a licensed electrician in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, applicable Australian standards, and all electrical safety requirements in your state or territory.
The installer is responsible for confirming that the proposed installation is compliant and suitable for the property. This includes assessing the switchboard, electrical supply, circuit protection, earthing, cable route, available capacity, installation location, and any load-management requirements. The installer must also provide any electrical safety or compliance documentation required in your state or territory.
Additional approvals may be required from your electricity network provider, strata manager, owners corporation, landlord, or another relevant authority. Installation work, approvals, switchboard upgrades, cabling, circuit protection, and additional equipment are not included with the charger unless expressly stated in the product listing.
Site and vehicle compatibility
Before ordering, confirm that the charger is suitable for your vehicle, electrical supply, property, and intended installation location. Compatibility, features, and performance can vary according to the vehicle, charger model, single-phase or three-phase supply, available site capacity, and installation design.
Charging speed
The charger's maximum power rating is not a guaranteed charging speed. Actual charging performance is limited by the lowest-capacity part of the charging setup. This may include the vehicle's onboard AC charger, available electrical supply, configured current limit, site load-management settings, and other electrical loads operating at the property.
Solar charging and energy management
Where solar charging, load balancing, or energy management is supported, correct operation may require compatible solar equipment, energy meters, current transformers, additional controllers, and professional configuration.
Performance can be affected by solar generation, household energy consumption, export limits, battery settings, network requirements, and the design of the electrical installation. Solar-compatible charging does not guarantee that the vehicle will use solar energy exclusively. Grid electricity may be used when solar generation is insufficient or when required by the selected charging mode, system configuration, or vehicle.
Smart and connected features
Mobile apps, scheduling, monitoring, RFID access, OCPP connectivity, remote management, and billing functions vary between charger models. These features may require Wi-Fi, Ethernet, 4G, compatible third-party software, firmware updates, professional configuration, or a paid subscription.
Internet availability, mobile coverage, third-party platforms, and external services can affect the operation of connected features. Check the individual product specifications and current manufacturer documentation before purchasing, as supported features, accessories, and requirements differ between models.
