When you hear the word EVO, it is only natural to first think of words such a premium, iconic and unique. Stedi have been tirelessly working on another exciting addition to join the EVO bloodline. Stedi have taken one of the legacy driving lights QUAD PRO™ and incorporated significant innovative enhancements, to develop the next generation of rectangular shaped driving lights.

While the saying goes, ‘Why reinvent the wheel?’ or improve upon something already regarded as exemplary? Well, because Stedi believe in the importance of forward-thinking, continuous improvement and believe the engineering and design teams have what it takes to rise to the given challenge.

This elegantly designed driving light elevates beyond the QUAD PRO™ while infusing it with the quintessential EVO DNA, resulting in a more organically shaped driving light that delivers superior performance. Much like its predecessor, the QUAD EVO not only integrates cutting-edge technology but also exemplifies superior design.

Designed as a modular system, QUAD EVO features a ‘central light’ that is equipped with 23 CREE XP20 LEDs, utilising a combination of spot + flood reflectors for optimal optical performance. Additionally, QUAD EVO is also available as a ‘side light’ consisting of 18 CREE XP20 LEDs, enhanced by 5x widespread reflectors (also known as side-shooters), which collectively provides an impressive 210-degree distribution of pure light.

The QUAD EVO’s aesthetic adaptation features a sleek, organic silhouette that reflects the contemporary grille designs of today. Like the Type-X™ EVO Driving Lights, the QUAD EVO has been carefully engineered to achieve an optimal balance between aesthetics and performance, all while maintaining a compact profile that distinguishes itself from other offerings in the market.

Both the QUAD EVO Centre Light and QUAD EVO Side Light embody the EVO aesthetics, characterised by low profile mounting brackets, minimal exposed hardware, and an engaging visual depth, created by lenses, fascia and covers. This design approach has also enabled the engineers to integrate the innovative snap-fit solution covers, as seen in previous EVO driving lights, enhancing both functionality and style. While the overall depth of QUAD EVO has increased in comparison to its predecessor, the light unit is positioned further forward, facilitating easier installation on modern bull bars. As a result, the overall footprint of the QUAD EVO is comparable to that of the QUAD PRO.

Beyond aesthetic appeal, the QUAD EVO excels in performance, establishing itself as a top-tier driving light within its category. Exceptional qualities are often inherited, and QUAD EVO embodies this principle through its innovative design and advanced functionality with not only an impressive beam throw, but through the introduction of widespread reflectors. This transforms the typical limitations associated with driving lights of this size into unparalleled strengths.

2x QUAD EVO side driving lights produces an impressive 578 meters at 1 lux (effective), utilising 36 spot and flood reflectors in conjunction with 10 widespread reflectors. For optimal reach and distribution, employing 2x QUAD EVO centre lights with 2x QUAD EVO side lights achieves a remarkable range of up to 1015 meters at 1 lux (effective), delivering an exceptional 210-degree illumination spread. Stedi guarantee you will be impressed.

So why introduce a wide beam? Well, wide beam angle driving lights are designed to project illumination over a broader area, effectively lighting not only the road directly ahead but also the surrounding peripheral critical zones. This enhanced visibility enables drivers to identify potential hazards that might otherwise go unnoticed in the darkness. Beyond wildlife, the wider beam assists in detecting various roadside obstacles and facilitates early recognition of potential dangers.

Moreover, wide beam lights significantly improve visibility in adverse weather conditions, such as rain, fog, or snow. As a result, the QUAD EVO positions itself as a leader within its class. In accordance with the EVO series, the QUAD EVO renders a 5000 Kelvin colour temperature, which minimises glare on road signs while promoting a soft and consistent lighting output to reduce eye fatigue.

Both QUAD EVO centre lights and QUAD EVO side lights offer IP68 rating for both water, dust and mud resilience (submersible up to 3m), so even in the harsher 4x4 terrains you know that these lights will be able to withstand all your outdoor adventures. In addition, each light will offer a lifespan of up to 30,000* hours at operational temperatures of -40°C to 60°C and has been engineered with Aluminium ADC12 raw material (housing).

From a visual perspective, modern fins provide a sleek and contemporary appeal. However, they are also crucial for the performance and efficiency of the LEDs, as well as the overall lifespan of the driving light. By making these design considerations, the fin design on both QUAD EVO variants has been engineered to maximise surface area, thereby enhancing heat dissipation. This reduces the risk of overheating and potential damage to the internal components of the driving light.

One of the prominent features QUAD EVO brings forth is the reconfigured bracket system that provides a variety of mounting solutions. the team of designers and engineers exercised thoughtful design that embraces signature EVO aesthetics and applied it to the QUAD EVO design housing, offering a minimal and sleek, less obstructive mounting solution. This refined bracket adaption will see QUAD EVO as a perfect driving light for modern bull bars with minimal mounting clearances and perfect for a roof rack array and additionally be a potential candidate for smaller off-roading vehicles like ATVs.

Upon unboxing the QUAD EVO, you’ll quickly become acquainted with all the required mounting hardware and wiring that is needed for initial installation. The stainless-steel mounting bracket and polycarbonate lens material ensure durability and longevity. In support of mounting versatility, QUAD EVO Centre Light and Side Light are packaged with rubber dampener. This is to be installed underneath each mounting bracket to aid with absorbing any chaotic vibration, commonly seen on rough corrugated plains or heavy-duty off-roading conditions.

QUAD EVO can be perfectly mounted on the STEDI™ Rally Bar, an unobtrusive front mounting bracket and tube, designed specific for a variety of vehicles.

Just like many of the other driving lights, customisation with covers and fascia is where Stedi allow customers to show their individuality. The brushed stainless colour fascia that you may have seen in the Type-X™ EVO LED Driving Lights have been brought across to QUAD EVO. A selection of curated colours have been selected to cater to a wider range of modern vehicles whilst allowing matching standards to the existing line-up, for consistency of course. Each colour way will be available for both QUAD EVO centre light and QUAD EVO side light.

When Stedi talk accessories, QUAD EVO centre light out of the box will come with 1x STEDI™ Black Out Cover, 1x Colour Fascia Grey and 1x Colour Fascia Orange, whilst QUAD EVO side light comes with 2x STEDI™ Black Out Covers (L+R), 2x Colour Fascia Grey (L+R), and 2x Colour Fascia Orange (L+R).

Included with each individual QUAD EVO light is the STEDI™ custom key that effortlessly removes each colour fascia, whilst conveniently doubling as a bottle opener. You know Stedi had to also include a STEDI™ branded patch. Thank us later.
