Patented Slotted Brake Rotor Design

The patented slot pattern helps clear water, brake dust, debris and gases from the contact surface between the brake rotor and brake pad. This helps maintain a cleaner friction surface and more consistent braking response, particularly during repeated braking or changing road conditions.

TRW testing has demonstrated braking distance improvements of up to three metres under applicable test conditions.

High-Carbon GG15HC Construction

TRW Slotted Brake Rotors are manufactured from high-carbon GG15HC alloy, providing improved heat dissipation and greater thermal stability under heavy braking.

The high-carbon construction helps reduce the risk of rotor distortion and cracking while also minimising noise, vibration and harshness such as brake shudder and squeal. The result is smoother, more controlled braking during daily driving, towing, touring and other high-load applications.

Corrosion Protection and Easy Installation

Non-contact areas of each brake rotor are finished with ZF’s specially formulated black protective coating to help guard against corrosion and maintain a clean appearance.

The rotors are also packaged in VCI corrosion-inhibiting paper, allowing them to be installed straight from the box without the need to remove protective oil or coating from the braking surface.
