Description

Using a multi-layer construction, Weathermate car covers provide a comprehensive protection package and ensures longer lasting paint, longer cleaning intervals, or even a veil of privacy. A hail cover goes further than the rest, adding a layer of padded armour, protecting both panel and paint from impacts from hail, sticks and other debris thrown about in a storm.
Easy to Use
The Weathermate Hail Cover features four integral ventilation flaps, serving multiple purposes. The flaps allow regulation of temperature and humidity by allowing air currents to circulate and prevent a build up of temperature inside the cover. The flaps make setting up easier as the cover won't 'inflate', and provides less resistance to being pulled over your car. The ventilation flaps also prevent the cover from lifting off during inclement weather, as winds can pass through the cover with minimal disruption.
The cover is secured with four oversized buckles, themselves mounted to 25mm wide straps with reinforced attachment points. The cover also comes with a bespoke zip-up storage bag, making safekeeping the car cover a breeze.
UV Resistant
With one of the harshest UV climates, the idyllic Australian locale is known to quickly degrade and destroy the materials we build from, including plastics, leathers and paints that adorn our cars. The composite design of the Weathermate Hail Cover provides a layered defense against the harsh UVA and UVB radiation that cars are bombarded with daily.
The light reflective nature aluminium foil greatly reduces the UV rays passing through, as does the expanded foam closed cell sub-structure beneath. The soft cotton-synthetic blended inner lining contains a lignin polymer framework, well known for effectively absorbing damaging UV energy.
Efficient & Effective Materials Selection
Intelligently constructed from layers of expanded polyethylene (EPE), the Weathermate Hail Cover boasts superior protection against external forces with a 6mm top layer and 4mm side layers, preventing damange from not only hail, branches and debris, but also fends off side impacts.
EPE is a natural choice for protective covers, being a flexible and lightweight material with a dependable, uniform polymer structure, meaning that the material consistency is higher than other materials preventing 'dead spots' that may compromise the protective design. EPE also benefits from being non-toxic and, unlike PVC and other commonly used polymers, is not a carcinogen, so is safer for you and the environment.
Long Lasting & Durable
The Weathermate Hail Cover is made to last - an objective realised through the choice of materials and design of its construction. The EPE backbone is laminated with layers of aluminium foil, increasing its natural ultraviolet, moisture and temperature resistance. The inner felt lining matches the flexibility of the foam layers, allowing the cover to conform to shapes without tearing or compromising function. The double stitched hems provide a mechanical support to maintain the integrity of the structure, and are heat sealed to ensure longevity. The easy-to-use securing straps are box stitched to allow the cover to be securely attached time and time again.
Interior Protection
An unfortunate side effect of basic car covers is the propensity to turn your car into a greenhouse - the materials allow the car to heat up and also trap the heat inside. Any moisture or unwanted oils on surfaces add to humidity and can accelerate wear and deformation of interior pieces - it's not unheard of to find new cracks and growing splits in your leather dashboard after trying to take basic precautions.
The Weathermate Hail Cover acts as an insulating layer, using a combination of clever design and the innate properties of the expanded polyethylene, keeping temperatures inside cooler and your interior surfaces intact for longer.
Scratch-free Surface Protection

The Weathermate Hail Cover features a grey felt cotton/synthetic blend lining on the entire underside, providing a scratch-free surface to add an extra layer of safety.
